Nunelucio Alvarado who hails from Negros Occidental, and who is one of the founding fathers of the Black Artists Group. In recognition of his many visual accomplishments, Galerie Roberto presents “Colleciones: Celebrating the Art of Nunelucio Alvarado.”
Opening on June 8 at Galerie Roberto is “Cyclogenesis,” a group exhibition that explores the subject of the weather in its manifestation as a hurricane or a tropical super-storm, familiar to our country.
“Life,” the title of a forthcoming show of an all-Cebuano group exhibition, opens on May 19 at Galerie Roberto.
Homage to the distinct hybrid of painting and sculpture is Galerie Roberto’s “Shaped,” opening on April 28. The show highlights the works of participating artists, namely Pandy Aviado, Benjie Cabangis, Fil Delacruz, Gig de Pio, Mario de Rivera, Edgar Doctor, Noell el Farol, Egai Fernandez, Raul Isidro, Al Perez, and Lydia Velasco.
Opening at Galerie Roberto on April 4, with the artist’s reception on April 7, is Hermes Alegre’s solo exhibition titled “Maidens.” Alegre’s maiden is a subject content to inspire contemplation and delectation of the mystery of her gender.
Currently at the Galerie Roberto, there will be no paintings to back up from, as it presents an ongoing, all-sculpture show, the annually held “Tri-Angles.”
Galerie Roberto celebrates the instinct for design and composition in the all – abstract exhibition on view until Feb. 21 aptly titled “Creative Intuitions.”
